BIOGRAPHY

　ニューヨークを拠点としている男女3人組、エイジ・オブ・ロケッツ。同じ音楽学校に通っていた彼らは、スマッシング・パンプキンズにちなんだ名前でバンドを結成。2005年に1st・アルバム、『ザ・ドライヴ・ホーム』を制作。しかしまだシンセ・サウンドを主体とした、未熟なものだった。だからこそ2年間を費やして、独自のオーケストラ・ポップを追究。多くのストリングス奏者を迎えて、本格的なスタジオ録音に入る。他の時間はホーム・レコーディングで、バランスを取りながら…。そうして遂に2007年、2nd・アルバム『ハンナ』を完成。自分達だけの力で、インディー史に残る名盤をリリース。飽くまでも流通を通さずに、ネットやライヴでCDを広めていく。卓越されたソング・ライティングと、優れた演奏能力。クラシックを基盤とする、革新的なロック・アプローチ。フル・オーケストラとラウド・ギターの融合は、あまりにも新鮮。さらに2008年、クインス・レコーズと契約して日本盤をリリース。エレクトロ二クスまで得意とする鬼才、アンドリューはリミキサーとしても活躍している。

The Age of Rockets is three piece male/female band based in New York. They all met at Music Conservatory and were formed with a band name by a reference to the Smashing Pumpkins song. The band produced the 1st album "The Drive Home" in 2005. Those songs were mainly synth-driven sound. After two years, they inquire into their own orchestra-driven pop and enters the studio recording inviting a lot of strings players. Finally, 2nd album "Hannah" is finished in 2007 while the balance by the home recording. "Hannah" is superior composition of songwriting, excellent performance ability, based on classic music and approach to reformative rock. Especially, the fusion of the loud guitars and orchestra brings a strong impact. This is one of the greatest indie-albums which made the album known by only Internet and gigs without the distribution network. In 2008, the band released the Japanese version on Quince Records and also as unusual electronics talent, recently Andrew is known well as the remixer.
