ロンドンでクラブ・イヴェントを企画するレーベル、クラブ・ACサーティー。2004年から限定CD-Rシングル・シリーズをリリースし始めて、自分達のサイトで売り続けている。ネオ・シューゲイザーを主体としたインディーならではのギター・サウンド。イギリスの伝統を受け継ぎつつも、今の時代特有のクールなオーラが醸し出すアートワーク。どの作品からもD.I.Y.精神やインディー・アティチュードが伝わってきて、まるで現代版７インチといった感じ。さらに2005年に入ってからは、正規盤のシングル（紙ジャケット）を本格的にリリース。エア・フォーメーションやテレヴァイス等、シューゲイザーの枠を超えたテーマを感じさせる。元々アメリカのクレアやスウェーデンのラブラドールと繋がりのあるCLUB AC30。そこで日本でのディストリビューションをクインスに依頼。そして2005年後半には3シリーズとなる、コンピレーションを続々とリリース予定。今、最もポスト・クリエイションとしての注目度の高いこのレーベル。でありながらも、確実に海外のインディー・シーンとリンクしているところが新鮮！その革新的なイメージを壊すことなく、さらに多くのインディー・ファンに浸透させていきたい。

Hearts of Black Science is a duo based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Tomas returned to Sweden after seven years in London and Berlin and formed HOBS in 2005 with Daniel who was playing with another band. The sense that unites all genres is like alchemy. The melody that brings empathy is harmonized with a coolest electronics. Therefore, it was named Hearts of Black Science. They shut immediately themselves up in an underground studio in a huge power plant. 1st album is completed with the loneliness in the shut space that can't feel the noise on the outside. They signed with Club AC30 afterwards, and released The Ghost You Left Behind in 2007. Electro-rock that exceeds the fence of shoegaze and electronica and a pop songwriting shine particularly. HOBS is succeeding to the great bands, Depeche Mode, New Order and Sisters Of Mercy, and also feels the position such as M83, Mew, and Sigur Ros. (6) - melancholic melodies, saudade vocals, and fantastic synths that thinks of Scandinavia are impressive. (9) - their progressive guitars is suitable for calling nu-gaze. クラブAC30が企画したシューゲイザー・コンピレーション、『ネヴァー・ルーズ・ザット・フィーリング』のパート2。世界各国の16アーティストが、キャサリン・ホイール、スピリチュアライズド、ギャラクシー500、マイ・ブラッディー・ヴァレンタイン、スローダイヴ、ラッシュ、チャプターハウス、スペクトラム、ライド、ドロップナインティーンズの名曲をカヴァー。ポスト・ロック系男女デュオのハンモックによる（1）は、今のシューゲイズ感覚を見事に表現。そしてシング・シングのエマとしてセルフ・カヴァーした（10）は、ラッシュのポップ感覚を進化させている。その他にも元ドロップ・ナインディーンズのポーラ・ケリー、ルナのブリッタ・フィリップス、元アドラブルのロバート・ディルラム、元マイ・ライフ・ストーリーのジェイク・シェリングフォード等の豪華アーティストが参加。さらにUK新人バンド、フィールズのギタリストであるジェイミー・プットナムの参加も話題。日本のみクインス仕様ジャケット兼用ライナー（ライナー1ページ、16アーティスト解説2ページ）と、シールを封入！
"Never Lose That Feeling #2" is the second volume of shoegaze compilation the Club AC30 plans. Sixteen artists in the world covers the shoegazers classics by such the bands as Catherine Wheel, Spiritualized, Galaxie 500, My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Lush, Chapterhouse, Spectrum, Ride and Drop Nineteens. Track (1) - Post Rock male/female duo Hammock splendidly expresses a recent shoegaze sense. Track (10) - Sing-Sing's Emma plays a self cover that evolved pop sense of Lush. Also this volume features gorgeous artists such as ex-Drop Nineteens' Paula Kelley, Luna's Britta Phillips, ex-Adorable's Robert Dillam and ex-My Life Story's Jake Shillingford. Especially, pay attention to Jamie Putnam as a guitarist from the successful UK band, The Fields. Spotlight Kid is two piece unit based in Nottingham, England. Chris Davis was former member of guitar rock band Six By Seven as a drummer and co-songwriter and Katty Heath was a vocalist of electronica pop band Bent. In 2006 they started Spotlight Kid to take a new route with the variegated musician career of each other. Chris has already had an arsenal of new songs, has concentrated to record his songs with Katty for six months and a completed 1st album 'Departure' is a shoegaze sound that evolved Spacemen 3 and Lush. The album featured a psychedelic guitars, a rock spirits drums and lovely dreamy female vocal. Their music is the perfection of all the compositions is excellent, and even instrumental track is insisted on strongly. (3) - My Bloody Valentine-esque number, it was dedicated to the shoegazer fans. (8) - a youth song with horns like Pastels, such a guitar pop fans will love it. Be sure to listen these MP3's! Also, a driven song like Swervedriver '(1)' and a song remind me New Order's Perfect Kiss in 2006 '(5)' are really great. A masterpiece with Club AC30's real indie-feelings. London shoegaze and post-rock night Club AC30 express a volume 1 of shoegazer covers album with the new & recent ideas of asking contemporary artists. Covers great songs by a many shoegazing bands such as My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Ride, Pale Saints, Lush, Swervedriver, moose, Catherine Wheel, The Telescopes, Curve, Medicine, Spiritualized, Ultra Vivid Scene in the late 80's〜early 90's. The artists of various genre are from the UK, USA, Sweden, Denmark, Czech Republic, etc. Feels a peculiar energy in the era when the entire indie-scene still whirled in one circle. Something like Creation of the glory-era has been succeeded to this album correctly. The Japanese edition distributed in Japan by Quince enclosed the combinations sleeve with liner note, and also a wonderful sticker.

ロンドン在住のシンガー・ソングライター、ジョナサン・トンプソンによる単独ユニット。マグネティック・フィールズが好きだというのが伝わる、ドリーミーなエレクトロ・ポップ。ヴォーカルもまどろみ感いっぱいで、瑞々しいシンセと美しく融合。クラブAC30らしいシューゲイザー・テイストで、厳かな空気を醸し出してる。さらにエレクトロニカからの影響を感じさせるアレンジでクールさを演出。こういうバランス感覚を持ったアーティストこそ、インディー・シーンにとって貴重な存在。インストまでしっかりとして曲の完成度を感じさせるところが、単なるトラック・メイカーではないことを証明。6曲を収録した紙ジャケットCDで、中にはDIYで作ったペーパーを封入。そこにはクラブAC30のバンドに対する愛情がたっぷり注ぎ込まれている。きっとますますこのレーベルの魅力にハマってしまうはず。

これに反応するギター・ポップ・ファンはかなりわかってる！スロウダイヴのサイモン・スコットが始めたロンドンを拠点とするバンド。実にメロディアスでヴォーカルも甘いから、すごく聴きやすい。特に1曲目はもう疾走感が溢れてて、めちゃくちゃテンションが上がる。歩きながらヘッド・ホーンで聴くと、憂鬱な道程もひとっとび。シューゲイザーを消化したストレートなギター・サウンドがとても清々しい。緩やかなナンバーの2、3曲目もやっぱりメロディアスで、ソング・ライティングの良さが光っている。下手をすれば3曲目なんかハリエットが歌ったら、男気のあるサンデイズにもなりかねない。アレンジもセンスたっぷりで、インストでも聴けるほど…。正直いってスロウダイヴより、このテレヴァイズの方が全然好き。自分が理想とするロックとポップの中間的なポジションにあるバンド。さらに付け加えると、メロディーの英詞の載せ方が素晴らしくて心地良い響き。このくらいいい曲が揃うなら、ぜひともクインスからアルバムを出したいくらい。クラブAC30のコンピレーションではウルトラ・ヴィヴィット・シーンをカヴァーしているところも興味深い。
